The Story of the Creation

Narrator: In the beginning when God began to create the heavens and the earth, the earth had no form and was void, darkness was over the deep and the spirit of God hovered over  the waters. God said…..

God: Let there be light

Narrator: and there was light

God: I shall separate the light from the darkness and I shall call it day and night…..

Narrator: there was evening and there was morning

God: let there be a firm ceiling between the waters, and let it separate waters from waters

Narrator: God called the firm ceiling the sky, there was evening and there was morning

God: let the water below the sky be gathered together in one place and let dry land appear

Narrator: God called the dry land EARTH and the waters he gathered together and called SEAS

God: let the earth produce vegetation, seed bearing plants, fruits with seeds according to its kind

PLANTS: yes we shall my lord

Narrator: and so it was, there was evening and there was morning

God: let there be lights in the ceiling of the sky to separate the day from night, to serve as signs for the seasons, days and years

Narrator: and so it was God made the sun and the moon, there was evening and there was morning

God: let the water teem with an abundance of living creatures and let the birds flyabove the earth and under the sky….

Narrator: and so it was

God: be fruitful and increase in numbers fill the waters of the sea and let the birds increase on the earth

Narrator: there was evening and there was morning

God: let the earth produce living animals according to their kind, cattle, creatures that move along the ground, wild animals

Narrator: and so it was

God: let us make man in our own image and likeness, let him rule over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle, wild animals and the things that creep along the ground.

Narrator: and so God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him.

God: be fruitful increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it, rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, over the living creature that moves on the ground.

I have given you every seed bearing plant which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree that bears fruit with seed. It will be for your food. To every wild animal, to every bird of the sky, to everything that creeps along the ground , to everything that has a breathe of life, I give every green plant for food

Narrator: God saw that all that he made was good, there was evening and there was morning

Narrator: that was the way the sky and the earth was created and all their vast array. By the seventh day the work God had done was completed he rested on the seventh day from all the work he had done….and God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because  on that day he rested from all the work he had done in his creation………
